Why a "Cursed Child" movie isn't actually that bad of an idea

Some hate it. Some love it. Some are indifferent. But EVERY Harry Potter fan has definitely heard about the controversial fan fiction play-turned cannon that first premiered at the Palace Theatre in London, England in 2016, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."
The play, divided into two parts and four acts, tells of the exploits of Harry and Ginny's son Albus Severus Potter with his friend Scorpius Malfoy, son of Draco and Astoria Malfoy.
When I read it, I was...underwhelmed. It felt like bad fan-fiction; the character felt like completely different people, the dialogue had none of the same feel as neither the books nor the movies, and the plot is just generally convoluted.
However, despite its MANY flaws, the play has enjoyed a lot of success, with several long runs in its numerous international productions. However, as of September, something big has changed...

Warner Bros. and Logo Change
"Cursed Child" fans and OG "Harry Potter" fans alike awoke early this September to find that the play's logo had changed to something more...familiar.
Warner Bros. had bought the rights to the play, and changed over the logo to the officially-branded and commonly-recognized lightning-stylized version.
This led to many speculations. Why is Warner Bros. taking over the "Cursed Child" play? What does this mean for the future? Is the cast changing too? Is there...could there be..will there be...is there any possibility of...a MOVIE of the play?

"We Got This Covered" and Their Anonymous Source
This last, and most popular, conspiracy theory has left fans and the internet shaken, but without any confirmed info. However, our minds and hearts began to shake again, when popular media blog, "We Got This Covered" posted that their "anonymous source" had confirmed plans for a movie, with the original cast from the original movies returning, no less!
This same "anonymous source" had previously been correct about Marvel's She-Hulk show, Disney's Aladdin sequel, as well as other recently confirmed rumors. This, of course, has sent everyone into a frenzy.
Now, like I said, I am not in favor of this play; it had so much potential, and met none of it. However, I am definitely in favor of another "Harry Potter" film with the original cast! The nostalgia and love I have for this cast are enough to outweigh the low quality story that the film will have. It won't be about the plot, but more about seeing our childhood replay before our eyes.

Possibilities, Rumors...and Hope!
And...well...that's all we know for the moment: a (supposedly) fairly reliable, anonymous source has confirmed a movie with the original cast, and that Warner Bros. does seem to be connecting itself more publicly with the play.
All we can do is hope, pray, and dream of this possibility! Not for the sake of the play, like I've said, but for the chance to see the original movie cast reprise their roles!
What do you think? Are the rumors true? Will YOU go see it? Have you read it or seen it, and, if so, what did you think? Let me know in the comment section!
